Biography

Christine has been a member of the Women's Fund since 2010. She grew up in Hanover, Pennsylvania and received her BA and JD from the University of Pittsburgh. Following a clerkship with the Orphan's Court Judge of the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas, she practiced with a litigation firm in New Jersey. She joined Burroughs Corporation (which later became Unisys) where she was Assistant General Counsel for Commercial Affairs. She retired from practice in 1996 and volunteered with a Montgomery County, PA domestic violence prevention group until moving to London. There she became a public guide and gardening volunteer for the Chelsea Physic Garden. Christine has a deep interest in horticulture and served on the Board of the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia, prior to moving to London. Christine moved to Santa Barbara in 2003 and the following year became a docent at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. She serves on the horticultural committee of the SB Botanic Garden and is a trustee of the Land Trust for Santa Barbara. After six years on the Research Committee, including two as co-chair, she also served as Membership Co-Chair.
