Biography

Renee joined the Women’s Fund as an Individual member in 2022 after relocating from the Bay Area. Renee’s professional background includes positions with several technology start-ups and founding an IT services company. She has been an active angel investor focusing on health-tech, technology and small business opportunities. Renee’s philanthropy efforts involved youth, homeless families and education including leadership positions with the Woodside High School Foundation, Girl Scouts of Northern California Giving Circle, LifeMoves, National Charity League and FIRST/Vex Robotics. Renee has a BS in Economics from The University of Alabama.

Biography

Roberta has been a member of the Women's Fund since 2018, and is currently the Educational Events Committee Chair. She has a passion and a long career related to children and adult learning. Her formal education entails a BA and licensing credentials for teaching and education administration from Sacramento State University, and a MA in History from UC Davis. Her career path includes elementary school teaching, school and program administration, staff development and teacher training through San Francisco State University. Since moving to Santa Barbara with her husband Matt, she has volunteered in various capacities with several nonprofit agencies, and currently serves the CALM Board of Trustees as Vice Chair for Development.

Yonie Harris

Biography

Yonie Harris joined the Women's Fund in 2016 and was a group captain last year.  In 2013 she retired from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she was the dean of students. Yonie has a doctorate in anthropology from UCSB and did fieldwork in the South Pacific. She is a member of the board of directors of the Isla Vista Youth Projects and the board of managers of Youth and Family Services, having served as chair of both boards.
