Women’s Fund Update on Celebration of Grants

Following the guidance of healthcare professionals for best public health practices during the Coronavirus outbreak, the Women’s Fund Board of Directors has decided to cancel our May 6th Celebration of Grants event. Our priority has been and continues to be the health and safety of our members and community.

While not being able to celebrate together in person is a disappointment, we are exploring ways we can announce and celebrate our new Women’s Fund grantees on May 6th in a new and safe format. So, keep the date circled on your calendar and stay tuned for more information.

As we traditionally do, we will highlight the great work of our grantees and the programs and projects they will be accomplishing with the Women’s Fund grants.

And we’re well on our way to choosing the new grantees we will celebrate. Our 1,100 members are voting now to select the agencies and programs that will receive grants in May from the $685,000 our members generously donated in 2019. A reminder that the voting deadline is March 28, 6pm PDT.

We expect that in the fall, Women’s Fund members will have ample opportunities to engage with the new grantees and the critical issues they address through our 2020 Grants in Action programs—the Women’s Fund’s signature site visits and our recently piloted education forums.

Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe and healthy.
