Noah's Anchorage Shelter
$ 65,000 grant
2016-17
Noah's Anchorage Capital Improvements

Noah’s Anchorage is both a residential group home and a drop-in center, providing a wide range of services for young people, ages 10-17, who are facing difficult personal and family issues. Because of changes in state regulations, the facility will lose its license if they cannot upgrade their building and its furnishings. This grant pays over half of the cost of facility improvements needed for accreditation, including purchasing institutional-grade furnishings and fixtures, refurbishing two bathrooms, upgrading the kitchen, installing an emergency signal system and repairing or replacing windows and doors. Bringing their facility up to the new standards allows Noah’s to keep their accreditation and remain open so they can continue offering services to vulnerable youth.
