Biography

Jessica joined the Women’s Fund in 2019 and joined the Research Committee in 2020. She grew up in the DC area, attended college at Bucknell University, got her MBA at Cornell, and then started what would be a 25 year career in marketing at P&G in 1995. She and her husband Jim decided to be the first in their families to make the move out west in 1997 when they moved to Marin County. Jessica worked her way up the ranks of brand management at Clorox and successfully launched a new business unit dedicated to environmentally friendly products. Based on this experience, she decided it was time to take the leap from consumer packaged goods into lifestyle marketing. She got an offer to head up global marketing at Deckers Outdoor in 2009 and jumped at the chance. After a year of commuting from the Bay Area, she convinced her family- which now included Haley born in 2004 and Dylan in 2008- to move to Santa Barbara. Who knew they could love a place more than Mill Valley, but it turns out they did. After 5 years at Deckers, her interest in music and technology led Jessica to Sonos, where she led Global Consumer Marketing. She retired in early 2019 to spend more time with her family, travel the world, and give back to the communities that have given her so much. In addition to starting Team Ikigai at the Women’s Fund, she was on the board of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and is involved with the AAPLE academy at San Marcos High School.
