Revae joined the Women’s Fund and the Research Committee in 2018. She moved here from Washington, D.C. in 2016 after retiring from her 40-year career with the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the congressional agency that oversees all federal programs. She was a Senior Executive responsible for managing teams of researchers that reviewed the Department of Labor’s regulatory programs and wrote reports to the Congress with recommendations for improvement. She also taught courses in gathering evidence, measurement metrics, and writing effective reports. Since moving to Santa Barbara, she’s been active in the SB Newcomers Club, including serving on their Board; is a tutor in the library’s Adult Literacy program; and chairs a local chapter of Dining for Women, a global organization that funds programs for women and girls in the developing world.
