Susan joined the Women’s Fund in 2015. A native New Yorker, she is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and the Georgetown University School of Languages and Linguistics. Most of her adult life was spent in Washington, D.C. where she worked as an interpreter-translator at the U.S. Department of State. More recently she pursued a career in development, serving as Director of Development at Washington private schools and Associate Development Director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Washington board service included the founding Board of Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Eye Care Foundation, and Children’s Hospice International. After moving to Santa Barbara in 2007, she became a California Master Gardener and certified California Naturalist. She is a docent at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and Arroyo Hondo. She has also served on the Board of the Santa Barbara Symphony and is currently a Trustee at the Botanic Garden.
