Susan joined the Women's Fund in 2011 as a group member. As the daughter of a career diplomat, she grew up near McLean, Virginia, as well as aboard in cities such as Frankfurt, Berlin, Bonn, Copenhagen and Taipei. She graduated from the University of Copenhagen as a Chinese language major. After a short stint working for the U.S. government, she relocated to the northeast where she worked in various capacities for Touche Ross, Duracell, Metro North and UBS. Her career began documenting policies and procedures and designing forms. Soon she became involved with implementation of Wang word processing systems and then early networked PCs. After living in New York City for ten years, her family relocated to the Los Angeles area. In 2006, she and her husband retired and moved to Santa Barbara. Susan has served on the Development Committee of Planned Parenthood since 2009 where she co-chaired the annual Choice Affairs fundraiser for three years. In 2013, she started working with the Women's Fund Communications Committee and led a team to implement a new logo, website and database management system. After co-charing the Communications and IT committees for several years, she now volunteers for both committees from her new home in Santa Fe, NM.
