Children and Family Resource Services

Provide high quality, family-focused, strength-based services to build resilient communities throughout Santa Barbara County.  Children and Family Resource Services (CFRS) is a nonprofit operating within the Santa Barbara County Education Office. CFRS serves as the fiscal agent for these four programs:

  • Collaborative on Social Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL)
    • The CSEFEL Teaching Pyramid Leadership Team will promote and sustain healthy social emotional development of young children in school, home, and in the community through collaborative planning, advocacy, and education.

  • Welcome Every Baby/Family Connects (WEB/FC)
    • WEB/FC is a free evidence-based, nurse home visitation program for all families with newborns in Santa Barbara that aren't already enrolled in a nurse home visitation program. Welcome Every Baby Family Connects provides one to three postpartum nurse home visits within the first 3 months of a newborn's life regardless of income.

  • Health Linkages program 
    • Our mission is to improve the health outcomes for children in Santa Barbara County by increasing access to preventative health and social services.

  • Santa Barbara County Promotores Network
    • The mission of the Santa Barbara County Promotores Network is to empower families and individuals with respect, dignity, and compassion by enhancing the quality of all aspects of their lives through education and the promotion of healthy behaviors.
